All Flights Across US Grounded, Major Glitch In Federal Aviation Administrationโ€™s System

Washington: All flights across the US were grounded due to a technical glitch in the Federal Aviation Administrationโ€™s (FAA) computer system, according to NBC News which reported quoting a source.

Due to the massive glitch which resulted in flight delays and the Federal Aviation Administration said it is โ€˜experiencing an outage that is impacting the update of Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs)โ€™ and that โ€˜all flights are unable to be released at this timeโ€™. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administrationโ€™s (FAA) system that alerts pilots and other flight personnel about hazards or any changes to airport facility services and relevant procedures was not processing updated information, the civil aviation regulatorโ€™s website showed on Wednesday.

โ€œThe FAA is working to restore its Notice to Air Missions System. We are performing final validation checks and reloading the system now. Operations across the National Airspace System are affected. We will provide frequent updates as we make progress,โ€ the Official Twitter account of the Federal Aviation Administration tweeted.

Moreover, the Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) also issued an advisory that the United States NOTAM system failed and since then no new amendments have been processed.

โ€œThe United States NOTAM system failed at 2028Z. Since then no new NOTAMS or amendments have been processed. Technicians are currently working to restore the system and there is no estimate for restoration or service at this time,โ€ the ATCSCC advisory read.

Hapania: Setting an example besides the political sphere, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Wednesday performed a successful dental surgery at his old workplace in Hapania, depicting his commitment towards his profession even after taking over a Constitutional post seven months ago.

The Chief Minister entered his old workplace Tripura Medical College in Hapania at 9 am today for an Oral Cystic Lesion of a 10-year-old boy. Performing a successful surgery, he came out of the operation theatre at around 9.30 am with a smile on his face.

He was assisted by Dr Amit Lal Goswami, Dr Puja Debnath, Dr Rudra Prasad Chakrabarty of Dental Surgery and Maxilla Facial Surgery department.

Dr Smita Paul, Dr Kanchan Das, Dr Sharmishtha Banik Sen and Dr Baishali Saha were also part of the medical team.

The anaesthesia team included Dr Kangchai Chowdhury, Dr Paromita Das and Dr Aditi Bhattacharjee.
Later, speaking to the media, Dr Saha, said that Akshit Ghosh, son of Sukanta Ghosh, is in good condition post-surgery.

โ€œThere was no difficulty though I conducted the surgery after a long gap,โ€ he told reporters.
