Britain’s Longest Serving Monarch, Queen Elizabeth ll No More

Elizabeth became the Queen of Britain in 1952 and was crowned sixteen months later in June 1953. After the Queen’s death, her eldest son, Prince Charles, will become the monarch of Britain.

 

Buckingham Palace has announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Elizabeth was Britain’s longest-serving monarch. Elizabeth died in Balmoral. She was 96 years old. She was the monarch of Britain for seventy years.

According to the information, “The King and Queen Consort will remain in Balmoral this evening and return to London tomorrow.”

The Queen’s grandson Prince William was also present at the hospital. Prince Harry, William’s younger brother, is on his way and is getting there. British Prime Minister Liz Truss has also expressed concern over this news. She tweeted and wrote –

“The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.

My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”

PM Modi expressed grief, said- “My condolences to the people of Britain
I am deeply hurt by his death. Elizabeth II will be remembered as one of the greatest rulers of our times. She gave inspiring leadership to her nation and people. Also, people should learn from dignity and decency in public life. My condolences to her family and the people of Britain at this time of grief.”
