Chandigarh: On Saturday, the Border Security Force (BSF) restored a three-year-old Pakistani kid to his family after he accidentally crossed the International Border (IB) in Punjab, according to officials.
Around 7 o’clock on Friday night, Border Security Force soldiers in the Ferozepur area of the state observed a sobbing toddler lying close to the IB fence.
The BSF field commander demanded an emergency flag meeting with the Pakistani Rangers so that the boy could be given over after he continued to wail and beg out for his father, according to army sources.
The toddler was handed over to the Pakistani rangers in presence of his father, army officials said.
