On Monday, Tech billionaire Elon Musk and a consortium of investors offered $97.4 billion to purchase OpenAI, the parent company of ChatGPT.

This comes after previously suing OpenAI. Reports suggest that Musk, along with a group of investors, approached CEO Sam Altman with an offer to buy out OpenAI for $97 billion.

However, Altman declined the offer, responding with a firm “No thank you.” Musk proposed this offer after suing OpenAI two times in 2024.

Altman promptly responded to Musk’s bid in a post on X, saying, “No, thank you, but we will buy Twitter for $9.74 billion if you want.”
