An explosion in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar injured an adult and four children aged 7 to 10. The incident occurred at 9:10 a.m. with an improvised explosive device detonating on a busy road.
Emergency spokesperson Bilal Ahmad Faizi reported the injuries, while Lady Reading Hospital’s Mohammad Asim noted two children were in critical condition.

Peshawar, situated near the Afghanistan border, is often targeted by Islamist militant groups, including the Pakistani Taliban and Islamic State.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, highlighting the ongoing security challenges faced by the region.
