A 25-year-old Indian student, missing for a month, was discovered deceased in Cleveland, United States. Mohammad Abdul Arfath, from Hyderabad, is the second such case in a week and the 11th in 2024. The Indian consulate in New York confirmed Arfath’s death. Arfath disappeared around March 7, with his phone switched off. On March 19, his family received a ransom call demanding $1,200, claiming Arfath was kidnapped by a drug-dealing gang, threatening to sell his kidneys if not paid.
