In Indonesia, a plane veered off course when both pilots reportedly fell asleep for 28 minutes, as indicated by a report from the National Transportation Safety Committee (KNKT), a government body. The Indonesia Transport Ministry plans to investigate the incident on January 25 during a Batik Air BTK6723 flight from Kendari in Southeast Sulawesi province to Jakarta. According to the KNKT’s initial findings, neither the pilot nor the co-pilot remained awake during the flight. Fortunately, none of the 153 passengers or four flight attendants onboard were harmed, and the aircraft sustained no damage.
