The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested an Indian embassy staffer in Moscow, Satyendra Siwal, for spying for Pakistan’s ISI intelligence agency. Siwal, posted at the embassy since 2021, is from Hapur and worked at India’s foreign ministry. Acting on a tipoff, the UP ATS questioned and eventually arrested Siwal in Meerut for unsatisfactory answers. He confessed to being an ISI agent at the Indian diplomatic mission in Russia.
