Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated on Monday that Malaysia would consider reopening the investigation into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines MH370 in 2014, a major aviation mystery. He emphasized that new compelling evidence would be required for this decision. The search for the Boeing 777, which vanished with 239 people on board while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing on March 8, 2014, ended in January 2017 after a fruitless two-year, $130 million underwater search conducted by Malaysia, Australia, and China.
