Texas: Tropical Storm Beryl Kills 3, Leaves 2.7 Million Powerless

Tropical Storm Beryl hit southeast Texas with strong winds and heavy rain, killing three, flooding highways, and closing oil ports. It cancelled over 1,300 flights and cut power to 2.7 million homes and businesses. Initially a Category 5 hurricane, Beryl weakened but still posed tornado risks in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
