Zambia Reopens Schools As Cholera Cases Subside

Schools in Zambia have reopened after delays due to a cholera outbreak. The reopening was postponed by five weeks to contain the highly contagious disease. The education ministry conducted inspections nationwide to ensure readiness. Disease spread has diminished, with 500 deaths since October, making it the worst outbreak in 20 years.
