IT Officials Find Crocodiles During Raid In Former BJP MLA’s House

Income Tax officials raided former BJP MLA Harvansh Singh Rathore’s property in Madhya Pradesh Sagar district, where they found crocodiles in the premises.

During the raid, the official spotted a pond inside a house and crocodiles in it and alerted the forest department officials on Friday.

“The reptiles were rescued, and a case has been registered under the Wildlife Protection Act”, said Madhya Pradesh Head of Forest Aseem Shrivastava to news agency PTI.

Rathore ran a business with his business partner Rajesh Kesarwani, and the raid was related to alleged issues in a bidi manufacturing in which Kesarwani and Rathore are partners. PTI reported that a former councillor and contractor is accused of evading large income tax amounts.

Rathore is the son of Madhya Pradesh’s former minister in the state government, Harnam Singh Rathore. Currently, Harvansh Rathore is a veteran leader in the Sagar district.

Since Sunday, the IT officials have been raiding the premises linked to Kesarwani and his associate, PTI reported.
