Six Army personnel were injured in a Landmine blast along the Line Of Control (LoC) in the Makri area of the Bhawani sector in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Tuesday.

All the soldiers are in stable condition and have been admitted to the Army hospital in Rajouri.

The Soldiers were on patrol duty when accidentally one of the soldiers stepped over the landmine near Khamba Fort in the Nowshera sector around 10:45 am.

The areas near the LoC are dotted with landmines, which sometimes get washed away by rain, resulting in such accidents, officials told news agency PTI.

The army has initiated the investigation to determine the cause of the mine blast and ensure the safety of personnel operating in such areas.
