At midnight Pune city’s power supply was shut down and at some places, electricity transformers were flowing into the water.
Pune| Due to heavy rainfall in the district, the lives of the citizens have been disrupted. So far 2 people have died due to this torrential rains. In Kattraj, Sahakarnagar, Bibwewadi and Sinhgad road areas, a major waterlogging has been reported. Due to this, numerous trains have been stalled. Local people are helping them as many people get stuck due to waterlogging on the roads.
Meanwhile, the water started flowing into the Tangewala colony in Araneshwar area of Pune yesterday (September 7) at midnight. This resulted in the demolition of the walls of several houses in this colony. Five people have been killed in the accident. It is said that five people were drowned floodwater. The search for them continues.

The municipality has stated, “Due to heavy rainfall, water has flowed into the Padmavati pumping station. So all the pump-motors have been damaged. As a result, there will be no water supply to Bibwewadi, Kondhwa, Market Yard premises, Dhankawadi, Balaji Nagar, Sahakar Nagar premises and Satara Road premises depending on Padmavati Pumping Station.
