New Delhi| The pace of coronavirus in the country is steadily increasing. In the last 24 hours, 47,009 were found infected. 21,206 recovered, while 213 died. The number of active cases, i.e. patients being treated in the country, increased by 28,653 in a single day. In Maharashtra alone, 30,535 infected were found, which is by far the largest figure in any state. Earlier, on September 11, there were 24,886 cases, when it was the highest.
So far 1.16 crore people in the country have been affected by this epidemic. Of these, 1.11 crore have recovered, while 1.60 lakh have lost their lives. Now 3,31,671 patients are being treated. These figures are taken from covid19india.org.
In view of the increasing cases of coronavirus in Chhattisgarh too, the state government has announced the closure of all schools, colleges and anganwadis till further orders. This has been confirmed by Minister of State Ravindra Choubey.

On the other hand, situation in Maharashtra continues to be grim. On Sunday, 30,535 people were found coronavirus infected. This is the largest figure since Coronavirus testing began in the country. In the last 24 hours, 11,314 patients recovered and 99 died. So far, 24.79 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 22.14 lakh patients have been cured, while 53,399 infected have lost their lives. Currently, 2.10 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
