Actor Sonu Sood Pays Visit To Uddhav Thackeray At Matoshree After Raut’s Criticism In Saamna

On Sunday, in the party mouthpiece Saamna, ShivSena MP Sanjay Raut had alleged that Sonu Sood’s generosity could be a ploy of the BJP.

 

Mumbai| Bollywood actor Sonu Sood paid a late-night visit to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday at his residence Matoshree. The meeting came hours after Shivsena MP Sanjay Raut in party mouthpiece Saamana criticised Sood. Maharashtra Cabinet minister Aslam Sheikh was accompanying Sood when he met Uddhav Thackeray. Thackeray’s son, Aaditya was also present during the visit.

Soon after the meet, Maharashtra CMO tweeted about it. “Actor @SonuSood met Chief Minister Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray and Minister @AUThackeray at Matoshree today. They discussed the work being done to provide relief during the COVID-19 pandemic. Minister @AslamShaikh_MLA was also present,” Tweeted CMO Maharashtra.

Ever since the coronavirus lockdown began in India, actor Sonu Sood has been arranging buses for migrant workers to send them back home. His act of generosity during the pandemic earned his heaps of praises on social media.

Aaditya Thackeray Tweeted, “This evening @SonuSood met up with @CMOMaharashtra Uddhav Thackeray ji along with Minister @AslamShaikh_MLA ji and me. Better Together, Stronger Together to assist as many people through as many people. Good to have met a good soul to work for the people together.”

Hours before his visit to Matoshree, Sonu Sood tweeted, “My journey with my migrant brothers & sisters has been the most special one. It’s straight from the heart. Right from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari whenever anyone tried to reach me, I’ve put all my efforts to help them reunite with their families & will continue to do so.”
