After Mumbai, Covid-19 Cases Now Rising In Delhi; City Records More Than 200 Cases

On Friday, 256 new cases were reported from Delhi. This is the first time in the month of February that the number of new Covid-19 cases in Delhi has crossed the 200 mark.

 

New Delhi| In the last few days, apart from Maharashtra and Kerala, cases of Covid-19 have been increasing in many parts of the country. On Friday, 256 new cases were registered in the capital Delhi, which is the highest in February. Apart from this, corona cases are also increasing in Punjab, Gujarat and Karnataka. On Friday, more than 16.5 thousand new cases have been reported from across the country. The same trend has been observed for the last three days. More than 8 thousand cases were reported for the third consecutive day in Maharashtra. Karnataka has reported the highest number of cases since January 24, while Punjab has the highest number of 628 new cases reported in the last 78 days on Friday.

Coronavirus Trajectory Takes U-Turn In Delhi

Only 16 new cases were registered in Delhi on 16 February 2021. That figure was then the lowest for the past nine months. The positivity rate had fallen to 0.17 percent. Only one patient died that day. Earlier on 27 January 2021, 96 new cases were detected. However, Coronavirus is now seen taking a U-turn in the capital. On Friday, 256 new cases were reported from Delhi. This is the first time in the month of February that the number of new cases in Delhi has crossed the 200 mark. Active Cases in Delhi are now 1,231.

Gurugram Dinner Party Turns Super Spreader for locals

A condominium named Irio Victory Valley located in Sector 67, Gurugram has been declared as a Containment Zone. 19 people here have been found to be Covid-19 positive. They are feared to have an infection after a dinner party at a restaurant. After about two months in the city, a housing society has been made into a containment zone.
