Raipur| Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Chhattisgarh today to pay the last respects to soldiers who were killed in Naxal Attack in Bijapur. Here he paid tribute to the soldiers who were martyred in the encounter in Jagdalpur. Sheh will have a meeting with senior officers. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is also with him during both these programs. The Home Minister is also scheduled to visit the CRPF camp at Basaguda in Bijapur.

On his return, Amit Shah will meet the injured jawans admitted to hospitals in Raipur. After the tribute, the bodies of the soldiers will be sent to their homes. Earlier, Chief Minister Baghel, after returning from the Assam tour, said that it was a war and not an encounter. “This is the final battle of the Naxalites. The soldiers have killed them by entering their den,” Baghel said.
