Another Blow To Common Man, LPG Cylinder Price Increased By Rs. 50

In January, the oil marketing companies did not change the price of LPG cylinder. However, there was a rise of 50 rupees twice in December.

New Delhi| The common man troubled by rising diesel-petrol prices has suffered another setback. Petroleum companies have increased the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 50 directly. It has been implemented from 12 am on Sunday night. Now the price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 769.

Gas cylinder prices have been raised for the second time in February. Earlier on February 4, the non-subsidized cylinder became expensive by Rs 25, that is, the price of domestic gas has been increased by Rs 75 in February itself.

Prices were increased twice in December also

In January, the oil marketing companies did not change the price of LPG. However, there was a rise of 50 rupees twice in December. On the budget day i.e. February 1, there was no increase in the price of 14.2 kg gas cylinder without subsidy, although the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder increased by Rs 191.

Government gives subsidy on 12 gas cylinders

The government subsidizes 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg for each gas connection in a year. The customer has to pay the price including subsidy on every cylinder. Later the subsidy money is deposited to the account. If customers want to take more cylinders than this, then they have to buy at the market price.

Oil companies review LPG cylinder prices every month. The increase or decrease depends on the price of crude oil in the international market and the exchange rate of the US dollar.
