Araria youths booked for shouting anti-India slogans after RJD’s Bypoll win

The Araria police filed an FIR against the youths who could be heard saying “Bhaarat tere tukde honge” and “Pakistan Zindabad” in the video.

 

A day after winning the Araria constituency in the recently conducted Bihar bypolls the Rashtriya Janata Dal has stoked a massive controversy. Reportedly, pro-Pak slogans were shouted in the victory celebration of elected RJD leader Sarfaraz Alam.

Shortly after Sarfaraz Alam was elected as the Member of Parliament from Araria, a video went viral in which some youths could be seen shouting anti-national slogans. Apart from it, they were also raising slogans in support of Pakistan. The youths in the video could be heard saying “Bhaarat tere tukde honge” and “Pakistan Zindabad”.

The Araria police took immediate cognizance of the matter and lodged an FIR against the three local youths. The police said that the video was reportedly shot near the residence of Sarfaraz Alam. The police held the three youths Adib Raja, Sultan Azmi and Shehzad and charged them under different IPC sections.

While the three youths have already been identified by the police, others are still to be identified.
