New Delhi| The Supreme Court today completed the hearing in the Ayodhya land dispute case. It was the 40th day of the daily hearing. While the arguments have concluded, the Supreme Court has reserved its decision. The constitution bench of 5 judges has asked all the parties involved in the land dispute to file a written reply within 3 days, that is, if one or two parties get the ownership, what alternative relief can the remaining parties get? Hindu Mahasabha lawyer Varun Sinha said that the Constitution Bench has made it clear that the verdict will come within 23 days. Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, who presides over the constitution bench, will retire on November 17.

Sunni Waqf Board wants alternative land for the mosque- sources

The arbitration panel appointed by the Supreme Court on Wednesday submitted the settlement report. It said that the Muslim and Hindu sides are ready for a settlement on the disputed land. According to sources, the settlement application was filed through Shriram Panchu on behalf of Sunni Waqf Board Chairman Zafar Ahmed Farooqui. The board has spoken of withdrawing its claim in the Ayodhya dispute. The board has agreed on the condition of giving alternate land in place of the disputed land to another location.

The Sunni Waqf Board is a contender for 58 years in the 134-year-old Ayodhya dispute case. The Allahabad High Court gave him equal land with Ramlala Virajman and Nirmohi Akhara. When the Sunni Waqf Board withdrew the claim from the land, All India Babri Masjid convenor Zafaryab Jilani said that he had no information in this regard.
