More than 14.5 lakh commercial vehicles of the state will not be able to operate during the Bharat Bandh. Mandis will also be closed.
New Delhi| Delhi has been surrounded by farmers protesting against agricultural laws for 13 days. Today, the farmers have called for a complete shutdown. The call for nationwide Bharat Bandh has garnered support from various quarters. Earlier in the morning, a train was stopped by the people of Swabhimani Shetkari organization in Malkapur in Buldhana district of Maharashtra. However, the police took them off the track and took them into custody shortly.
Chakka jam from 11 AM to 3 PM
Farmers said that the bandh will be called from morning to evening. However, Chakka jam will be held from 11 am to 3 pm. The decision has been taken to limit the Chakka Jam so that office-goers will not face any problem. However, essential services like ambulances and trains engaged in weddings will not be stopped. On the other hand, the Union Home Ministry has directed the states to maintain law and order.

Dairy, hospitals and drug shops will be open in Rajasthan
Important services like milk supply, hospitals, medical stores and ambulances will continue in Rajasthan.
Fruit-grains: 247 agricultural produce mandis will remain closed. The green vegetable block will remain closed in the market, the potato-fruit block will open.
Maharashtra: Swabhimani Shetkari Saghtana staged 'Bharat Bandh Rail Roko' protest and briefly stopped a train today in Malkapur of Buldhana dist. They were later removed from the tracks by Police & detained.

Transport: Gopal Singh Rathore, state convenor of All India Motor Transport Congress and state president of Jaipur Transport Operators Chamber, said that the transport operators will participate in the Bharat bandh. All 7 lakh truck trailers and all types of commercial vehicles in Rajasthan will not run. About 13 thousand transport companies will be involved in the bandh. 1400 low floor-mini buses and 20 thousand auto-rickshaws will not run in Jaipur.
14.5 lakh vehicles will not run in Haryana
More than 14.5 lakh commercial vehicles of the state will not be able to operate during the Bharat Bandh. Mandis will also be closed. The farmers have decided to stop serving fruits, milk and vegetables. Nevertheless, farmer organizations have appealed that no one will be forced to join the Bharat bandh. The state government has deployed 14 companies of security forces in view of the bandh.

Section 144 applies in whole of Gujarat and Noida
Action will be taken on the forced closure in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, UP. Section 144 is applicable in Gujarat and Noida. Khapana will be stopped in Haryana. Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Punjab and many other southern states will also be closed.
