Breaking: Congress Passes Resolution To Drop Sachin Pilot, Two Other Ministers From the Cabinet

Earlier, Sachin Pilot-led Rajasthan Congress camp released a video showing at least 16 MLAs sitting together as a show of strength.

Jaipur| A decision to sack the rebel leader Sachin Pilot from the post of Deputy Chief Minister has been taken by Congress in Rajasthan after he skipped the second meeting of MLAs today. Two ministers siding with Pilot in his rebellion will also be dropped. Sachin Pilot, who has been reportedly insisting for the Chief Ministerial post, was asked to attend the meeting as surety for his talks with the leadership. The party had warned of strict actions against all those who skipped the meeting.

“The Congress Legislative Party meeting is being conducted again and again to send messages to Sachin Pilot that still there’s time for him to come. The party’s top leadership still has flexibility for him. A decision will be taken after today’s meeting over further course of action,” ANI quoted sources as saying before the meeting.

Earlier, Sachin Pilot-led Rajasthan Congress camp released a video showing at least 16 MLAs sitting together as a show of strength.

The 10-second video came hours after Congress held a legislature party meeting. Party leaders said 106 of 122 MLAs attended, a claim contested by the Pilot camp. The video was shared late at night on Pilot’s official WhatsApp group.
