Breaking: Supreme Court to hear the plea of Kathua victim’s father regarding the transfer of the case

The Kathua victim’s father has also expressed concerns over the safety and security of the family.

 

On the day of the trial of the eight accused in the gang-rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl from J&K’s Kathua, the victim’s father has approached the Supreme Court seeking the transfer of the case.

The Kathua victim’s father has also expressed concerns over the safety and security of the family. The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the matter and has scheduled the hearing of the plea at 2 PM on Monday.

Meanwhile, the eight accused in the gang-rape and murder case have been brought to the J&K District Court and the trial will begin shortly.

Earlier, the lawyer of the victim’s family had expressed the concerns regarding her security. Talking to a news agency she said, “I can be raped. I can also be killed.”
