Chandigarh: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has given an ultimatum to the central government to repeal agricultural laws by November 8. Channi said that if the agricultural laws are not repealed, the Punjab government will cancel them by convening a special session of the Legislative Assembly on November 8.
Channi also expressed displeasure over the expansion of the Border Security Force (BBSF) by the central government. He said that no talks were held with the Punjab government in this regard. He also said it was unconstitutional. The CM said that due to this the relations between the central and state governments is ruining.
He added that these are signs of Governor Raj in the state. This will also be discussed in the special session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. Talking about the industry and business world, CM Charanjit Singh Channi said that the Inspectory Raj will end for the traders.
The CM said that there will be no ban on selling firecrackers in Punjab. Only the rules of pollution will be followed. He said that he himself has sold firecrackers, so I understand the pain of the traders. Let us tell you, there is a ban on crackers in Chandigarh.
