Coronavirus India: Maharashtra Records More Than 8000 Cases, Highest In Last Three Months

With the rising Coronavirus cases, India has ranked fourth in the world, where the highest number of daily cases are being reported.

 

The Coronavirus cases in the country are rapidly increasing. Especially in Maharashtra, record number of cases have are being reported.

On Wednesday, for the first time in 126 days more than 8000 new cases were reported within 24 hours. According to the data, 8807 people were found Coronavirus infected here on Wednesday. Earlier on October 21, 8142 people were found to be corona positive.

With the rising cases, India has ranked fourth in the world, where the highest number of daily cases are being reported.

It is noteworthy that the spike in cases has been recorded in just a week. Before that, India was also out of the list of top-10 countries most affected due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The United States remains on top where more than 70000 cases are reported everyday, followed by Brazil which is at number 2. The country is reporting more than 60000 cases of Covid-19 every day. Whereas, in France, more than 20000 cases are being reported every day.

India to Vaccinate People above 60

As the cases increase, the call for rolling out vaccination for common people has started intensifying. On Wednesday evening, the govt announced that it will start vaccinating people above 60 years of age. Along with them, people above 45 years of age with co-morbidities will also receive the jab.
