Coronavirus: India Records Less Than 40000 Cases, Recovery Rate Sees A Jump

The number of active cases has also decreased due to reduction in new cases and higher number of recovering patients.

 

New Delhi| With the decrease in new cases of coronavirus in India, the number of patients recovering has also increased rapidly. According to the Health ministry data, more than 30 million people in the country have recovered from the virus infection till now. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health on Monday, the number of people recovering from coronavirus in India has crossed 3 crore. The recovery rate is at 97.22 percent. About 40,000 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours.

According to the data, 37,154 new cases of infection have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours while 724 people have died due to the dangerous virus. In the last 24 hours, 39,649 patients have recovered while so far a total number of patients recovered stands at 3,00,14,713. Meanwhile, a total of 4, 08, 764 people have died due to the coronavirus.

The number of active cases has also decreased due to reduction in new coronavirus cases and higher number of recovering patients. The number of patients undergoing treatment in the country now is 4,50,899, which is 1.46 per cent of the total cases. In terms of positivity rate i.e. transmission rate, it stood at 2.32 percent on a weekly basis while the daily transition rate is at 2.59 percent, which was below three percent for the 21st consecutive day.

A total of 37.73 crore doses of vaccine have been given to the people so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign. This includes both the first and second doses. 12,35,287 doses were given in the last 24 hours. So far, 43.23 crore corona tests have been done.
