Delhi government is monitoring Yamuna ecuvation: CM Kejriwal

New Delhi | Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday issued a direction to state transport minister Kailash Gehlot to flood affected area’s near the banks of river Yamuna and ensure arrangements for the displaced people.

Taking on Twitter, CM Kejriwal tweeted, “Directed Kailash Gehlotji, Minister-in-charge, to visit the area along with all officers and ensure proper arrangements.”

As per Delhi government, more than 1,000 families had been evacuated till Sunday morning. After Haryana government discharged water from Hathnikund Barrage after continuous rain in the catchment areas the water level in the Yamuna has risen to 205.66 meters. Haryana had released 6,00,000 cusecs of water at 6 pm on Saturday.
