Delhi Police launch lookout against PM Modi’s ‘Lie Lama’ Posters

New Delhi: The Delhi police on Thursday registered a case against an unidentified people related to the Black-and-white posters with red text planted across Delhi.

“The Lie Lama”, the posters read over a monochrome photo of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with folded hands.

The Police has confiscated the posters in central Delhi’s Mandir Marg area and filed a case of vandalism. Delhi police took the action after receiving several complaints about these posters from New Delhi Municipal Council or NDMC besides Model Town and Moti Nagar.

The police registered a case under the defacement law against unknown people since the posters were on government property.

After the posters were widely shared on social media in the last few days, accusing PM Narendra Modi of making false promises, the BJP leaders had filed a complaint with objection to the posters.

The police are are questioning the local residents to ascertain the identity of the people behind the act.
