Jaipur| Amid the ongoing political crisis in Rajasthan, close aides of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have been called for questioning by the Income Tax Department.

Ratan Kant Sharma, Sunil Kothari, Rajiv Arora, and Congress MLA Dharmendra Rathore have been called by the IT department for questioning, under section 131 of the Income Tax Act.

Earlier, Congress had shared three audio clips as proof of horse-trading of MLAs, accusing the Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat as well. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra spoke on the allegations of horse-trading made by Congress, asked if the phone conversation thus recorded was done through phone-tapping.

Patra, rubbishing claims that BJP was in any way involved in the political tussle, asked whether all political groups were being phone-tapped in Rajasthan, and demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter.

M Ashok Gehlot once again fired a fresh salvo at Sachin Pilot directly on Friday. Describing Pilot as very ambitious, Gehlot said that he had been preparing to join the BJP for six months. However, his teammates refused. He then told his colleagues that he would not go to the BJP and instead form a third front. After this, they will run their government with the support of BJP, Gehlot said while speaking to ABP News.

He said that on June 11-Pilot’s father late Rajesh Pilot’s death anniversary-they had a plan to shift the legislators from Dausa at 2 pm to Gurugram. “But at the last moment, we did spoil their plan. Now he started the same game again,” Gehlot said. “I am not making this charge on Pilot, but the colleagues who have left him told me,” he added. Regarding the claim of viral audiotape, Gehlot said that if the tape turns out to be fake, he will leave politics.
