“Don’t need lessons on nationalism from you”: Journalist Rahul Kanwal tells Piyush Goyal

New Delhi | The ruling BJP government is currently having a hardtime justifying the death toll in the IAF airstrike on the terror camps in Pakistan and now Union Minister Piyush Goyal has flaked criticism over his response to the question asked the Indian Air Forces airstrike over the Balakot, Mazzafarbad region of Pakistan.

During a media conclave, Journalist Rahul Kanwal asked Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal that the international media’s narrative has puts pressure on India to prove that its operation was successful as the foreign media reports stated the Indian Air Force missed its targets and dropped bombs in a forest rather than Jaish-e-Mohammad training camps.

The question triggered the Union Minister and rather answering Goyal countered Kanwal questioning the journalist’s trust for armed forces. Goyal terming the question a “matter of shame” asked Kanwal that is he a “part of the narrative that is trying to belittle our armed forces”.

Responding to the allegations, Kanwal hit back the Union Minister saying,“Neither me, nor anyone sitting here needs any lesson in nationalism or patriotism from you or anyone else.”
