“Don’t Pay Heed To Rumours About COVID-19 Vaccine”: Dr Harsh vardhan

Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan who arrived at GTB Hospital to review the preparations appealed to people not to heed the rumours.

 

New Delhi | Three places have been selected to carry out a dry run of Covid-19 vaccination on Saturday in the capital Delhi. The Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital at Shahdara in the capital Delhi, Urban Primary Health Center at Daryaganj and Venkateswara Hospital at Dwarka have been selected for the dry run.

According to the Health Bulletin, a video conferencing was held on Friday under the chairmanship of the Health Secretary of Delhi for a dry run for the Covid vaccination at three selected locations. These three places are in one Shahdara district, one in South West district and one in Central district.

The central government had said that the dry-run should be completed in all states and union territories by January 2 to examine the link between planning and implementation and identify challenges.

Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan who arrived at GTB Hospital to review the preparations appealed to people not to heed the rumours. “Ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine is our priority. There was a wide variety of rumours during polio vaccination, but people got vaccinated and India is now polio-free,” he said.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan further said that the feedback received after the dry run in 4 states was included in the guidelines for vaccination and in all states / UTs, today’s dry run is being run as per the new guidelines. Apart from giving the actual vaccine, every procedure is being followed during the drill.
