Manipuri : Two women from Jhalawar district of Rajasthan registered complaint against five men wo gangraped them on two different occasions. The victims told police that the incident took place at Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district were called to make pooris (deep-fried bread) at a marriage function.
The complaint was filed at Manipuri police station. On Thursday the victims alleged that they were raped by Inder Mali, who had called them to prepare food at a wedding ceremony. Victims stated that on reaching the wedding venue Inder Mali and his two associated identified as Netram Meena and Akmal Meena gangraped them.
“The three men, after committing the crime, threatened to kill the two victims if they told anyone about the incident. The victims were then shifted to another village, Dadooni,…and handed them over to one Vijendra Singh. At Dadooni village, the two women were gangraped by Vijendra Singh and another man identified as a foreman,” police said.
The victims were allowed to leave only after the accused assured that they won’t spell out to anyone about their crime. However, the victims approached the Mainpuri police station and got a complaint registered against the accused.
A case of gangrape and abduction was registered against the five accused after a medical check-up of the two victims.
“All the five accused are absconding and efforts are on to nab them,” police said.
