Former Union Minister & RLD Chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh Succumbs To Covid-19

Chaudhary Ajit Singh was son of former Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh. He was the founder and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal.

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief and former Union minister Chaudhary Ajit Singh passed away due to COVID-19 at the age of 82.

His son and RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary informed about his passing on Twitter.

Jayant Chaudhary wrote: “Chaudhary Ajit Singh ji was found infected by Covid on April 20 and today morning he breathed his last. This is devastating moment. Chaudhary sahab struggled even during the last moments of his life.”

“On the way of his life, Chaudhary sahab got company of many supporters. Those relations were always closed to his heart. He considered all of you his family and worried about you all the time,” Jayant further wrote.

Jayant Chaudhary also appealed people to follow all the drawn protocols in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

 

Chaudhary Ajit Singh was son of former Prime Minister of India Chaudhary Charan Singh. He was the founder and chief of the Rashtriya Lok Dal, a political party recognized in western part of state of Uttar Pradesh.

Chaudhary Ajit Singh was union minister of agriculture during the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
