New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Centre issued revised guidelines for the COVID-19 lockdown Phase 2 as announced by PM Modi on Tuesday.
The guidelines have given some relief to agricultural activities and industries in rural areas. However, all kinds of travel are restricted until May 3,
The gyms, bars and malls will also remain shut.
To “mitigate hardships to the public,” agriculture, IT, e-commerce and all inter-state goods transport will be allowed after April 20.
The new guidelines say that areas important for rural and agricultural development and job creation will be resumed in non-COVID-19 zones.
However, extremely restraints will be implemented in hotspots, with a large number of coronavirus cases or showing a rapid increase in infection.
The inter-state transport of goods, essential and non-essential, will be allowed.
Highway ”dhabas”, truck repair shops and call centres for government activities can resume from April 20. Manufacturing units of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment will also be allowed after April 20.

Coal, mineral and oil production will also be permitted.
The RBI, banks, ATMs, capital and debt markets as notified by SEBI and insurance companies will also remain active, in order to provide liquidity and credit assistance to the industrial sectors.
The supply of milk, milk products, poultry and livestock farming and tea, coffee and rubber plantations will restart.
