Gratuity limit increased from Rs 10 lakh to 30 lakh: Finance Minister

New Delhi | Finance Minister Piyush Goyal today announced that the gratuity limit has been increased to 30 Lakh from the previous amount of 10 lakh.

Presenting the interim budget in the Lok Sabha, Piyush Goyal said, “Gratuity limit has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. Pension scheme for unorganised sector workers with monthly income up to Rs 15,000 will be given. Assured monthly pension of Rs 3,000 after they retire on reaching 60.”

” A pension scheme is being launched called Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan, to provide assured monthly pension of 3000 rupees per month, with the contribution of 100 rupees per month, for workers in unorganized sector after 60 years of age,” announced Goyal.
