The Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), Prashant Kumar said the victim of the Hathras incident in Uttar Pradesh was not raped, news agency ANI reported.

Kumar said, “No semen has been found in the forensic report. The FSL report has already clarified that there was no rape on the victim.”

He also said that the post-mortem report says that the victim died due to neck injury.

“It clearly shows how a conspiracy was hatched to create caste tension on completely wrong information. Action will be taken those who tried to spread misinformation to create caste tension,” he further added.

The incident was reported by the Hathras victim’s brother on September 14, the officer further added, stressing that a fresh video has emerged on Thursday, which clearly suggests that her tongue was not chopped off as claimed by some.

Earlier today, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who were going to meet the family of the gangrape victim in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, were stopped by the police in Greater Noida when both got down from the car and proceeded on foot. The Gandhi siblings were accompanied by hundreds of party workers. However, a heavy police deployment was done at the Yamuna expressway to stop both Rahul and Priyanka who wanted to meet the Hathras gangrape victim’s family.

After being stopped, they started marching towards Hathras. However, at some distance, the police stopped them again. Rahul Gandhi tried to move forward, however, the police tried to stop him. The videos show that one of the police pushed Rahul Gandhi. In this commotion, Rahul Gandhi fell to the ground. Some videos of the incident shared on social media also show police lathi charging some Congress workers.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were later detained by the police and taken away.
