Hyderabad| Latest in the series of attacks on health professionals, Doctors in Hyderabad’s Gandhi hospital were attacked by relatives of COVID19 patient. The COVID 19 Patient who was admitted to the hospital died on Wednesday. The 56-year-old had attended the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz.
Police said on Wednesday night after the death, the person’s family members allegedly assaulted the doctor posted at the hospital. Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar visited the hospital and interacted with the doctors there and decided to increase security.

The brother of the deceased who attacked the doctor is also suffering from Coronavirus and has been arrested. He was also sent to Chest Hospital in Erragadda. On the other hand, junior doctors condemned the attack and threatened to go on strike.
