IAF Flypast Live Updates: Watch Petals Showering in Mumbai, Delhi, Haryana, Goa

The IAF fighter jets drop petals at hospitals across the city to express their gratitude for COVID-19 warriors who are battling the pandemic.

New Delhi| In the third significant expression of gratitude to health workers fitting COVID-19, the IAF jets and transport planes shower petals on hospitals and places of national importance while the Navy’s ships will be lit up.

The “gesture of special gratitude” will consist of the Air Force conducting flypasts across the length and breadth of the country, said Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, along with all the three service heads.

He added that another “gesture of special gratitude” will be helicopters showering petals on hospitals and Army bands playing outside medical buildings in most districts.

Officials said that the gesture of gratitude will begin with the showering of flowers at the police memorial in Delhi and in other cities this morning to sanctify police personnel deployed for implementation of the national lockdown.

Across the national capital, from 10:30 am the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) fighter jets from the Western Air Command will drop petals at various hospitals.

Military aircraft will drop petals at King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital and Kasturba Gandhi Hospital, among others in Mumbai.
