Income Tax raids in Maharashtra, Andhra and Telangana, black money worth Rs 275 crore found

Pune : The Income Tax Department has detected undisclosed income of Rs 275 crore by conducting raids at different places in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on Tuesday claimed that the Income Tax Department has detected undisclosed income of over Rs 200 crore in raids at a Pune-based business group manufacturing heavy machinery like mining machines and cranes.

Under this, raids were conducted on November 11 at 25 places in seven cities. Besides this, the Income Tax Department has detected undisclosed income of Rs 75 crore after raiding three different real estate business groups located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the CBDT said.

The raids were conducted on November 10 at 30 places in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam. The Income Tax Department has detected undisclosed income of over Rs 200 crore in a raid at a Pune-based mining machinery and heavy machinery business group. Under this, raids were conducted at 25 places in seven cities on November 11.

Besides this, the Income Tax Department has detected undisclosed income of Rs 75 crore after raiding three different real estate business groups located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the CBDT said. The raids were conducted on November 10 at 30 places in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam.

At the same time, the Income Tax Department has claimed to have discovered an estimated unaccounted income of about Rs 600 crore during the raids on two companies in Gurugram and Delhi. Along with this, during this raid, it has been claimed to have received cash of three and a half crore rupees and jewelery worth more than 5 crore rupees. 18 bank lockers of these companies have also been found, the work of opening them is going on. During this time more cash and important documents can be recovered.
