According to the statement of the Chinese Army, the Indian Army crossed the LAC in Shenpao area and when the Chinese Army’s patrolling party proceeded to negotiate with the Indian soldiers, they fired warning shots, i.e. in the air. Some reports citing sources said that the incident took place late in the evening of 7 September. Chinese troops moved forward and tried to occupy Indian territory. They were coming very close to the location of the Indian Army. The Indian Army asked them to retreat. The debate escalated and the Indian Army had to fire aerial warning. Currently, the situation remains under control.

Earlier, on 1 September, the Chinese embassy in India issued a statement alleging that Indian troops crossed the LAC again on the southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake. A spokesman for the Chinese Army’s Western Theater Command, also said that India should control its troops. According to him, when Chinese border guards stopped the Indian soldiers, they opened fire.
