India’s Coronavirus Tally Crosses 2.7 Lakh Mark, Recoveries Take Over Active Cases For The First Time

India reports 9,985  new Coronavirus cases and 279  deaths in the last 24 hours. The country ranks among the top ten worst-affected countries in the world.

 

New Delhi| India remains one of the most affected by the Coronavirus pandemic with the daily increase in cases. As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India now has 276583 cases of Coronavirus. Out of them, 133632 are active cases whereas 135206 have been cured/discharged or migrated. The death toll due to Coronavirus in India has reached 7745. In a ray of hope, the number of recovered patients overtook the active coronavirus cases for the first time in the country since the pandemic began in March.

Maharashtra remains the worst affected state with 90787 cases. Among them 44860 are active cases, 42638 have been cured whereas the death toll is at 3289. The state is followed by Tamil Nadu with 34914 cases and Delhi with 31309 cases. Gujarat remains the fourth most affected state with 21014 cases and 1313 deaths.

Madhya Pradesh: On Tuesday, 211 infected were found and 6 deaths occurred on Tuesday. There were a total of 9849 patients in the state. BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and his mother Madhavi Raje Scindia are not feeling well. Both have been admitted to Max Hospital in Delhi. Jyotiraditya and his mother complain of throat infection and fever. It is a symptom similar to both coronas.

Uttar Pradesh: 388 new patients were found in the state on Tuesday and 18 died. 38 patients were found in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. So far, 691 patients have been exposed. The total number of infected in the state reached 11 thousand 335. The death toll has risen to 301. However, about 60% of the patients have been cured by now.

Maharashtra: On Tuesday, 2258 people reported positive and 120 died. The total number of infected in the state has reached 90 thousand 787. The total corona patients in Dharavi, Mumbai, are 1,924, while 70 people have died. The recovery rate here is 41.8%. Maharashtra police said that no new cases were found in the department in the last 24 hours.

Bihar: 208 people reported positive in the state on Tuesday and 2 died. So far 5455 have been found infected, of which 2652 are active cases. In Bihar, 33 people died from Corona. A policeman of Aurangabad died a few days ago, his report on Tuesday came positive. After this, 69 people have been quarantined.
