Invitees at the Indian embassy’s Iftar Party ‘Turned Away’ by Pakistani officials

Islamabad | Guests invited to the Indian High Commissioner ‘Iftar Party were allegedly turned away by the Pakistani officials in Islamabad on Saturday.

As reported by News Agency ANI, the Pakistani officials surrounded the venue of the Iftar Party and harassed the guest and forced them to leave the venue. The Pakistani officials also called invitees from masked numbers and threatened them with consequences if they attended the Iftar party.

Speaking on the issue Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria said,” We apologise to all our guests who were aggressively turned away from our Iftar yesterday. Such intimidatory tactics are deeply disappointing”.”They not only violate basic norms of diplomatic conduct and civilized behaviour, they are counter-productive for our bilateral relations,” he added.
