J&K signs an MoU with Dubai Government for developments

Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir administration has signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Government regarding developmental projects at Jammu and Kashmir. These developmental projects include, real estate, IT towers, industrial parks, multipurpose towers, logistics, medical college and super specialty hospitals. The information was given by J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday.

Highlighting the importance of the day Union minister for commerce and industry Piyush Goyal said that with the signing of the MoU with Dubai, the world has started to recognise the pace with which Jammu and Kashmir was traversing on the development bandwagon. “This MoU gives out a strong signal to the entire world that the way India is transforming into a global power, Jammu & Kashmir is having a significant role into that as well,” he said.

Goyal expressed that this development will be huge for the region. This will help pour in huge investments throughout the globe and bring in economic profit. This milestone is a big developmental push.

“Different entities from Dubai have shown keen interest in investment. Development has to be aspired on all fronts and we are on track،” he said while thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and home minister Amit Shah for their focus and commitment towards the development of UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

“The recent industrial package of ₹28,400 crore is a testimony towards ensured development,” he added.

Terming it a momentous occasion for the UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said this development journey will help the UT to scale new heights in Industrialisation and sustainable growth.

Speaking to the media at Raj Bhawan here, Union minister for Commerce and Industries Piyush Goyal said that during his recent visit to Dubai, King Sultan Ahmed expressed his interest to visit India especially J&K to invest in real estate business. “I invited him and now the results are clear. We have signed an MoU with Dubai for real estate business in J&K Goyal said.

He said people from Dubai will now throng J&K and the UT will go a long way in tourism and real estate business.
