Kasganj Attack: Accused of Beating Constable To Death, Liquor Mafia Killed In UP Police Encounter

The accused killed in the Kasganj case is Elkar. He is said to be the cousin of the main accused Moti Dhimar, who is still absconding.

 

Action has started on the liquor mafia who attacked the police team on Tuesday in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh. Police killed one of the accused in an encounter. At 7 pm on Tuesday in Kasganj, SI Ashok and constable Devendra Nagla had gone to Dhimar village for investigation of illegal liquor businessmen. When both arrived, they were attacked by miscreants with sticks and beaten to death.

SI Ashoka was also badly injured. Nagla Dhimar village is infamous for illegal liquor business. Police action is often done here.

Elkar Killed In Encounter, now looking for Moti Dhimar

The accused killed in the Kasganj case is Elkar. He is said to be the cousin of the main accused Moti Dhimar, who is still absconding. Elkar was shot on the banks of the Kali River at Nagla Dhimar. The encounter took place around 3 am on Wednesday.

After the attack in the village, the policemen were taken to an unknown place

According to the police, Moti Dhimar and his associates beat the policemen first in the village, then took them hostage and took them to an unknown place. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot. During the search, SI was injured in a semi-arid condition in the field.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had directed to impose National Security Act (NSA) on the accused. Yogi has announced a compensation of 50 lakh to the family of martyr soldier Devendra and a government job to a family member.
