“Self-dependent India”; PM Modi Declares 20 Lakh Crore Economic Stimulus

The third phase of lockdown is supposed to end on May 17. PM Modi also said that information about lockdown 4.0 will be provided before 18th May.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the country today on the prevailing Covid-19 situation. His address came one day after he had a brief discussion with Chief Ministers of states on Monday. The address was third in a series of PM’s addresses since the nationwide lockdown was imposed on March 25. The third phase of lockdown is supposed to end on May 17. He also said that information about lockdown 4.0 will be provided before 18th May.

  • Today, I declare a special economic package for self-dependent India.
  • The package is worth 20 lakh crore including the stimulus declared earlier and is 10 percent of India’s GDP.
  • This package will help India to become self-dependent in 2020
  • Land, labor, liquidity, and law have been given importance in this package.
  • This package is for that labor and farmer who works day in and out for the country.
  • It is also for the middle class and industry in India.
