New Delhi| Police is in constant action against the violent protesters from Tractor Parade that took place on January 26 in protest against the agricultural laws. So far 22 FIRs have been registered on incidents of violence and sabotage. Police are investigating CCTV footage to identify the miscreants. Security has been increased at the Red Fort and the Singhu border. On the other hand, the Metro Management has again closed the Red Fort Metro station, while the entry gate of Jama Masjid Metro Station has been closed.
More than 100 Cops injured in R-day violence
In the violence that broke out yesterday in the national capital, 153 cops have been injured and two of them are in ICU. A protesting farmer also lost his life after his tractor turned turtle. Violence broke out at different parts of Delhi as farmers and police clashed. A group of farmers were seen breaking barricades and some were seen chasing police with sticks and swords. On the other hand, police also used lathicharge and teargas on protesters. A group of protesting farmers also stormed the Red Fort and hoisted religious flag on an empty flag pole.
The farmers started their tractor parade ahead of schedule on Tuesday. The police had set the time and route for the parade from 12 noon to 5 pm on Tuesday afternoon. Singhu, Tikri and Ghazipur entry points were made to enter Delhi. However, the farmers broke barricades at these entry points at 8.30 am and entered Delhi forcefully and started their parade. Police claim that many policemen were injured in the day-long violence.

Also, Internet and SMS services have been closed in three districts of Delhi, Sonepat, Palwal and Jhajjar.
