The court will announce the quantum of another case on Wednesday. To avoid any kind of disturbance in the law and order the local administration deployed a large number of policemen. The administration also kept the Para-military forces and Rapid Action Force (RAF) jawans on standby. The administration had installed 48 check posts in Hisar to prevent entry of anti-social elements.
He was arrested in 2014 after a two-week conflict between the state police and his followers. Six people were killed in the process after Rampal’s devotees turned into a private army to prevent his arrest while hundreds were injured. The devotees attacked the army with stones, batons and guns.
