The Maharashtra government is lifting the lockdown constraints in the state in a zone-wise — Red, Orange, and Green — manner.
Mumbai| Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday stated the government’s decision to ease the restraints zone-wise and said the relaxations will not be carried out rapidly.
With 11,506 coronavirus positive cases, Maharashtra is one of the worst-affected states in the country. It is also one of the first states to have recorded novel coronavirus cases.
The govt has given few relaxations in the Red Zones like Mumbai for the movement of people.
In the containment zones, where the most number of novel coronavirus cases have been recorded, the movement of people would be permitted only for the supply of goods and services.
In those zones, there would be the establishment of clear entry and exit points.
No unverified entrance of people and transport would be permitted in these zones. Details of people moving in and out of the containment areas would be registered.
In Red Zones outside the containment zones, exercises restrained by the Home Ministry would not be permitted. No easement has been given to cycle rickshaws, auto-rickshaws, taxis and cab aggregators, intra and inter-district plying of buses, barbershops, spa, and salons.
All industrial activities are allowed in rural areas.
in urban areas, construction activities will be allowed only on the sites. No worker will be brought in from outside.

In urban areas, malls, market complexes will remain shut. But, shops selling essential goods in markets would be allowed to operate.
In orange zones, taxis cab aggregators with two riders and one driver are allowed; the inter-district movement of individuals and vehicles permitted only for approved activities.
E-commerce activities will be permitted only with respect to the essential goods, medicines and medical equipment in orange zones.
All activities are allowed excluding the ones restrained by the Home Ministry in the Green Zone.
