Malala speaks up about Kashmir, gets criticised

Nobel laureate and social activist Malala Yousafzai recently shared her opinions on Kashmir on Twitter, and users didn’t take long to troll her.

“The people of Kashmir have lived in conflict since I was a child, since my mother and father were children, since my grandparents were young”, she wrote.

A retired army officer named Major Gaurav Arya, who was written ‘Defense Analyst’ in his Twitter bio, has hit back at her for neglecting Balochistan and talking about Kashmir.

Hello Malala, you have never seen Kashmir but you feel so strongly about it. Not far from your home in Swat, is Balochistan. Balochis have also lived in conflict since you were a child, since your mother and father were children, since your grandparents were young. Ring a bell?”, he wrote on Twitter.

His tweet has garnered more than 5,000 shares and more than 14,000 likes.

Meanwhile, other users have slammed her too.

The Centre has scrapped the Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. It has also bifurcated it into two Union Territories: Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ladakh.
